This high power rocket was constructed for my Level 1 NAR high power rocketry certification flight. The rocket is constructed of a cardboard body tube and motor tube, plywood fins and centering rings, and a plastic nosecone. The body diameter is approximately 4″ and the rocket measures about 4′ in length. The rocket also features 3D printed rail buttons and hasa custom 3D printed housing for an onboard altimeter located inside the nosecone. The rocket was projected to fly to an altitude of about 1800 on an H motor according to OpenRocket simulations. The rocket was launched succesfully and recoverd safely without damage in April 2023 at the NAR site in St. Ablans, VT.
